March 1984, Freddie Mercury is starting rehearsals and preparing to recreate the ballet portion of “I Want To Break Free.”

Freddie Mercury’s recreation of the Debussy ballet L’Après-midi d’un faune, performed by the Royal Ballet. Freddie rehearsed intensely with the Royal Ballet members, were choreographed by Wayne Eagling and were astonishingly beautiful!

This filming of the incredible ballet segment took place on April 5, 1984 (Queen As It Began) Yes, off came Freddie’s trademark mustache for the 40 second clip 💛

“I Want To Break Free” one of Queen’s most expensive videos topping “Radio Ga Ga” in the upwards of £100,000 and took several weeks before the video was completed
