The two shows at Earls Court will end Queen’s successful, ‘A Day At The Races Tour’. There was only supposed to be one night at Earls Court, on June 5. But, due to high ticket demand, a second evening was added.

The band dropped £50,000 on a new lighting rig for these final two shows, which was a giant crown – 25 feet tall by 54 feet wide, weighing two tons. Queen were pioneers of many rock concert spectacles, including this very first mobile lighting rig.

The band donated all proceeds from their second show on June 7 to the Queen Elizabeth ll Jubilee Fund!
